Now I know why pepole with babies don’t update their blogs all that often. Those little bundles of joy really keep you busy. His sleep echedule is different every night, so our sleep schedule is different every night. Last night he slept all the way to 3:30A.M., then he was up at 4:30, 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30.
At least it is finally the weekend, Tomorrow we will have family over to see the baby and be able to do some adult type things for a few hours. I wish is was going to be cooler, but with darn global warming, it is pretty bad.
Work has been going well, my testers are working very well now, to the point that I don’t worry about them when I am not there. I added some password protection and changed the configation files so they are they are much more human readable.
Glenn sure is cute little guy. We have been giving him more and more tummy time. He is starting to raise himself up with his arms. He already looks so different, and he only a month old now. If I get a chance, I will post more photos in the baby Glenn gallery.
Baby Glenn is growing well. Switched bottles the other day, no more spit ups and less burping. He is eating about 3 to 4 ounces every meal now. He is not sleeping through the night yet, but he is at least staying asleep at 3 hour stretches. We are gong to take him out to a store for the first time later today. Tiff is getting a little cabin fever, so we really need to get out.
Baby is doing well. We just gave him a bath, he still does not like them, but he was starting to be a stinky baby.
In other news, I was at Babies R Us, trying to buy a few simple things, and then it happened, the check writer. Nothing makes me want to leap over the counter and beat someone more than check writers, It is 2000 f’ing 6, get a god dammed debit card. Checks take 10 times longer than any other type of payment and guess what, moron, checks are not free. Debit cards are. I guess people want that 1906 feel when they are shopping, or they think they can float checks. Guess what? With the new electronic clearing of checks, they work as fast as debit cards now. The only time I ever used a check to buy something was when I lost my debit card, and that was for about 2 days. I’m not sorry if I offend, time to modernize people, and make the great leap to 1980’s technology.
Enough ranting, the baby is eating well now, but he is still a pauser. He eats an ounce, sleeps for 10 minutes, then eats again. We are trying out the Target brand of baby formula. It has all the same nutrition of the name brand, and is half the price. At the rate he is eating it, we need to save money where we can. He can’t tell the difference, so why spend more money?
One Month Checkup
Glenn is up to 9lbs, 10oz now, 21.5 inches long. He is gaining weight well, and the doctor said just keep feeding him like you have been feeding him. He is looking fuller ever day. Just had him over at the grandparents house tonight for my older brother’s birthday.
Week 5 photos should be up tomorrow night, so you all have that to look forward to.
