Starting a new era in American history.

As you may of noticed, I have not updated this site much in the last 4 years.  This has been due to a plague upon the land known as Donald Trump.  He is going down in history as the worst president of all time.  During his tenure in office, we have seen 400,000 dead Americans, concentration camps at the border, a vast expansion of religious bigotry, codified into law, and more Americans out of work since the Great Depression.   All of this was followed up by an attempted coup, let by the President, which resulted in his SECOND impeachment.  The trial may begin next week and I can only hope he is banned from holding a federal office again.  He is a horrible human being and almost certainly a sociopath.  Even typing this now, my blood boils.

That being said, we have a new President Joe Biden.  A man with ambition, but with empathy and caring that the Trump cannot understand.  After Biden was inaugurated, I slept better than I have in years.  No worry about an insane tweet storm at 2 in the morning, not worried about an insane moron with his hand on the nuclear button.  An actual, full gown adult is in the White House.

I wish the best to you Joe, you are our president and even if you do half of what you promised, you will be a 100 times better president than the last.  Let us not forget Harris, the first woman elected to the second highest office in the land!  I was proud to vote for both of you and I am proud to be an American again.

October Surprise 2020

October 2, 2020

Today is truly a turning point in American history.  Early this morning it was announced the Donald Trump was diagnosed with COVID-19.  After battling a pandemic with bluster and lies, the virus has caught up with him.  He refused to wear masks and encouraged others not to wear masks.  You reap what you sow.  I think he really is sick, it is not a hoax.  I am concerned that with his advanced age, obesity, and almost certainly a heavy exposure due to traveling with Hope Hicks, his survival is not assured.  I do not like the man and would never vote for him, but I would not want Baron to grow up  without a father.

Maybe now he will understand the terror we have all been facing since early March.  Maybe his followers will finally wear a mask.  9 out of 10 people who have caught COVID-19 with symptoms have some sort of health problem following recovery.  I hope the lies will finally end, but I don’t think so.  If he can breathe, he will lie.

Whiteness

Just a little experiment here, let’s take a look at the current cabinet:

22 positions.  1 African American, 1 Chinese American.  6 women.

90.9% White, 9.1% Non-White, 4.5% African American, 4.5% Chinese American, 27.2% Women. 0% Hispanic/Latino.

For the United States, the general demographics are:

62.0% White, 17.3% Hispanic or Latino, 12.6% Black/African America, 5.2% Asian.  50.5% women.

If you have any doubt about how the current administration views woman and minorities, the proof is here:

Not Even Outraged, #6

With the recent shootings in Orlando Dallas Baton Rouge, a Virginia Baseball field, Las Vegas, Sutherland Springs, Texas, I don’t know why people are outraged. After Sandy Hook and the daily shootings in cities across America, why are people surprised and outraged?  Apparently, this time, it is a ‘Mental health issue’, which is ironic, since on February 28, 2017, Trump signed into law, a new rule that makes it easier for individuals with serious mental health issues to get guns!!!!

The congress has been bought and paid for by the NRA for decades now. No one will stand up to them, or any other gun lobby, so we should just accept how this will be. Sucks, but it is the truth.

Unless the gun laws in the country change, this will keep happening. Creating concentration camps with Muslims won’t solve this. Creating a gestapo that removes 11,000,000 Latino won’t stop this. Common sense gun laws will. See Australia and the UK.

Next time this happens, and it will, I will copy and paste this post with new names.
