Musings

Added some new photos to the Images section.  One of the U505 submarine, before it was moved, and one of a little coffee shop I spotted on the way home.
The baby is coming along well.  He either kicks or tickles Tiffany from the inside, depending on his mood.
The Olympics are over, watched about 20 minutes of it total over the last 16 days.  It is good to know that Americans are not the best at everything, just the best at marketing.

It is out of the news now, but I thought it was funny they found ricin in a roll of quarters in some Texas university.  Funny how some new, undefined terrorist scare comes out every time the administration is feeling a lot of heat.  One of those things that makes you go hmmmmmm.

In other world news, Iraq looks like it is spirally down towards something.  I don’t know what.  Either the Iraqis will stand up and form a new government, or it is just going to devolve into a civil war.  I hope not, too many innocent lives have been lost already in this “liberation.”
I feel badly for the Iraqi people.  Decades of dictatorship followed by a foreign occupation force.  Neither seem all that wonderful.
But, my own life is going well.  Did a lot of housework today.  The results look good, just simple stuff around the house.  In less than a week I am turning 32!  Now I do feel old.

It’s a Boy!

Well, it looks like our baby is going to be a boy.

We went for the ultrasound yesterday and found out 2 things:
-It is healthy

-He is a he

I know boys run in my family, but only my brother Mike thought it would be a boy too.  Tiffany has the pictures up on her blog, if you want to see them.

Free Plug for an American Company

Finally found a proper carrying case for my beloved Zaurus SL-6000L. It is from a company called “ThePouch.” They custom make cases for ANY portable device. Just give them the dimensions and tell them a color, and they hand make a case for you in about 10 days + shipping. Not the cheapest cases in the world, but it is neoprene and custom made, each time. They are at The Pouch
It is the ONLY carrying case out there specifically for the SL-6000.

Tiffany’s exam went well. She is having a prefectly typical pregnancy. Not to say that typical is all that pleasant, but medically, everything is ok so far.
This Friday we should know what sex it is.
Below you can see 3 things:

– The new fence slats.

– The reason for the new fence slats.

– A little lake effect snow, for those of you in PR.

Operation Anti-Dog Piss Complete

Last night we put privacy slats in our chainlink fence separating our yard from our neighbor’s dog run, er back yard.  The problem was, the little bastards love to urinate through the chain link fence that leads to our detached garage.  Recently they have taken to digging up the grass, dirt and feces and flinging it though the fence.  (Boy, I really love dogs.  All they do is eat, crap, piss, get sick and cost you money, as far as I can tell.)  So, now the slats will defect or deter them from taking a wizz on to our side of the fence.  It is a lot cheaper than putting up a new fence, that’s for sure.  My hands are killing me from doing all the work last night.  But, we put it all up, or we would have to work with urine soaked slats the next day.  Yes, it is very disgusting.
On a brighter note, today is Tiffany’s 19 week exam.  Half way there!  Some time this week we should know how many and what sex the baby(ies) are.
