We bought a new Laser printer to replace over our old, but getting a little touchy Samsung (ML-1210) printer. I think Ron bought the same printer, a Brother HL-2070N. It is the cheapest, fastest laser printer I have seen with networking. With multiple computers, networking was a must. I did have the Samsung hooked up to my computer, but that meant I had to have my computer on all the time so Tiffany can print. Now, I can turn off my machine if it has nothing to do. It really does print 20 pages a minute, and it fires up in seconds, as compared to the Samsung, which took almost a minute. The Brother also works perfectly with Linux, Windows, and Mac, so whatever way you swing, it should work.
Glenn is doing well, we had him out for a ride today. Went to the mall. I forgot how many people go to malls! I am really looking forward spring, so we can do somewhere and not be tempted to spend money and look at mall rats. There is still a foot of snow on the ground, and we got about 3 inches Friday.
Kudos to Mike and Erika for coming over on short notice to take care of Glenn for a few hours. Every now and then we just need some time together without him. He was especially screamy on Friday night and Saturday morning, so we were both frazzled. Today he was much better, quieter and very cute. He blurted out what sounded like Mom today! I don’t think he meant to, but it was still cool to here. He is making new noises every day. You can really hear his voice coming out.
He went to bead early tonight, hence, I can actually update the blog. I will post his pictures tomorrow.
Cute but bad
Glenn has been very cute lately, with more talking and moving around. However, he is now in the habit of waking up every morning between 2 and 4 a.m. I am looking forward to this summer and taking a little vacation. I used it all up last year when he was born.
At home, finally broke down and bought one of them fancy high definition teevees. The picture is really nice and DVDs look pretty amazing. We were waiting for the pricing to come way down, they did. Now, if only there was more programming in HD…
Been keeping busy at work, almost done with my vision tester, and I am always working on the encoder tester.
One of the other engineers is leaving, but another is starting, so we shall see how that goes. Greg is a good engineer, and shall be missed.
Took an ironically inspirational photo of a church a few days ago. I liked how I caught the sun just as it was behind the peak of the steeple.
