At least they are honest about what they are for:

I never really watched much of the original videos from Apollo before, they are really fascinating to watch.
Apollo 17 had a real scientist on board and spent 3 days on the moon! The rover videos are cool to watch. It is amazing seeing how the dust follows a perfect parabola in a vacuum. I kept bumping into ‘landing on the moon is a hoax’ web sites, so I wanted to see the videos myself. The weird walk the astronauts developed on the moon is a real indicator of something you just can’t fake. They have a bouncy walk, and everything falls too slowly (to our brains, which expect 9.8m/s*s.) NASA posted just about every minute spent on the moon.

Are all up now.
We were actually able to take a trip to Ikea today. Glenn was pretty good during the whole trip. He hasn’t gone poopie in a while, but he made up for it after we got back. 3 in a row! Oh, what joy! I had to do one as well, Tiff won’t do 3 in a row, and I don’t blame her. Christmas is just 2 weeks away now. The year has really flown.
In other news, it was sad to hear about the editor at C|Net, who died in the wilderness. You would think the editor of a major technology publishing website would have a little more high tech in his car. At least a GPS or something like that. That has really prompted us to get a GPS sooner, rather than later. We will have to see home much money is left over after the holidays. It is not like we go off the beaten track much, but it would still be a nice thing to have. Paper maps are great, until you drive off the map or there are no street signs. No street signs are VERY common in Chicago suburbs, or if they are there, they are small or you are behind another f’ing SUV you can’t see around. Speaking as a sedan owner, I hate those things. It’s like driving behind a brick wall.
A note from Glenn:

Glenn has been a cranky boy today. He didn’t want to eat at all until I tried some solid food for him. Even with the solid food, he his just now going off to bed.
I am trying to see how easy/hard it is to author a DVD in Linux with menus and what not. It is burning a disk right now, so I hope it works and looks decent on a TV. With all the home movies we have taken of Glenn, I want to be able to present it/preserve it on DVD.
I have gotten a lot of use of my DVD burner over the last year or so. Under Linux

Glenn decided to do some typing. He found the numeric keypad, but really likes the 0.
The DVD experiment went pretty well, and few more tweaks and it will be perfect.

Removed Bush speech.
Deleted the Bush speech, too long and depressing.
Went out without little Glenn for the first time last night, our fourth anniversary. It was weird, but fun at the same time. He is such a big part of our lives now, it is hard to forget about him, even for a few hours.
A big thank you to Ron and Evelyn for letting us get out of the house for a few hours.
Christmas went very well. We got exactly what we wanted and Glenn got tons of cool toys to play with. Enough, I hope, to keep him happy till his birthday. A new year is approaching, and I am sure it will be an interesting one.
