Sick of hearing abou the iPhone

I am sick to death about hearing about the iPhone.  People, it is not the second coming of Christ, it’s a cell phone.
A very very expensive cell phone.  The interface is slick, but if you don’t have a subscription to AT&T, it is just a brick.
Speaking as a AT&T subscriber, I can tell you a lot of people will be disappointed in their iPhones.  AT&T call quality sucks ass.  Virtually every call that I make gets dropped.  Of if it do__ get__drop_d _he_ i_ sou__s l_k_ th_s.
This pattern has continued over 2 different phones by 2 different makers, so I have to believe it is the network.  Their data network is antiquated, at best.  So, don’t expect to be streaming videos, no less music, unless you are in range of wifi.  They should make a PDA version of the iPhone, a modern Newton, so you don’t need to subscribe to that horrid network.

In other news, Glenn keeps getting closer to walking every day.  The separation anxiety seems to be peaking.  Leaving a room for few moment puts him into a tizzy.  He will be 1 in a few days.  I am amazed how much he looks like a little toddler now.

Glenn updates

While I was out, he added:
bbbbbbbbbbbbbbjio
fcccccccccccccccccc     nn
zzzzzzzzzzzzz        bbbb       nnnnnnn
To my Google notebook.  I have no idea how he opened the Firefox, then clicked on open Google notebook, then typed!

Not too much else going on.  Glenn is getting closer to walking and closer to 1 year old.  Just 10 more days until your next installment of Glenn photos.

Glenn’s first trip to the zoo.

Went to Lincoln Park Zoo for the first time with Glenn.  He saw some animals, but I don’t think he really gets it yet.
I think he will enjoy it more when he can really walk, and not be stuck in the stroller all the time.  It has been about 2 years since we have been there.

Took some good photos, like the gorilla below.

One thing is for sure, you could not pay be enough money to live in that area, with all the congestion and traffic.  Even at 9:30 A.M. with most of the buildings not open yet, it was still busy.

Eww moment for the day.

I know they are harmless, but they sure are gross looking.

“Luckily” my trusty Olympus captures ever nuance of these rather large bugs.  All hail the super macro mode.
I am glad the cicadas only come out every 17 years.  They are very very loud, to the point your ears will ring after about 30 minutes of exposure.  Jet engine loud.  Freight train loud.  I’ll try to get some good audio next week when I go for my lunch walk.

Like A Virgin

Peed on for the very first time.
While getting Glenn Monster ready for his bath/shower, the little guy decided to empty his baby bladder on me.
It feels just like you think, a little, warm stream of baby pee.

We now bathe him with someone in the tub, today it was me holding him.  He went a second time in the tub with me holding him.  Not quite as exciting a second time.

I have to say, I really don’t get the golden shower fetish people.  It’s really not that thrilling.  It’s warm and wet, but it gets cold really fast and has that fun urine smell.   To each his/her own, I guess.
